ALONDS - are tree seeds, not nuts, which they are often confused with. Two varieties of almonds are known. One of them is sweet almonds which can be eaten raw. The other  is a bitter almond. The first type of almonds has been used primarily in  cooking, while the other one in the cosmetics industry.  Eating almonds positively affects the cardiovascular system thanks to unsaturated fatty acids and vitamin E which they contain. It can also help lower blood pressure, strengthen blood vessels and reduce  blood clotting.
